UFC on Fox: Lawler vs Dos Anjos Betting Odds and Preview
The UFC heads north of the border for its last Fox card of the year once it puts up the Octagon at Winnipeg on December 16. The main event features Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos — two former winners with aggressive, crowd-pleasing styles — in a bout that could go a long way to discovering the next welterweight title challenger.
The card top to bottom should be stacked to the brim with endings with the likes of Mike Perry, Santiago Ponzinibbio and Oluwale Bamgbose advised to compete.
Robbie Lawler vs Rafael Dos Anjos
Robbie Lawler (-110) is the definition of an exciting fighter. The southpaw goes well with his feet and angles incredibly well thanks to his wealth of experience in the Octagon. These skills allow him to punish his opponent with either his power mixes or crafty counter-strikes. However, you need to wonder whether this brutal style can be sustained by him after decades of wear and tear.
«Ruthless» is basically a sprawl-and-brawler. He’s got solid defensive wrestling that’s backed up by his own willingness to punish opponents who shoot for his legs. Only rarely will you see him shoot to get a takedown himself however he’s capable of doing this.
Rafael dos Anjos (-120) is largely a pressure fighter who excels in dictating the speed of the fight. Dos Anjos typically works behind a consistent pumping jab and a few barbarous leg kicks. His footwork helps him cut the cage and suffocate his competitor. Once his opponent is backed onto the cage, then RDA either blitzes with heavy hands or grinds out a takedown.
